Houseparty’s maker, Life On Air Inc., which also created the defunct Meerkat video-streaming service, has received about $50 million in new venture capital, according to people familiar with the situation. The round was led by Sequoia Capital, with participation by Aleph, Comcast Ventures, Greylock Partners.
